Is Liposonix Really Worth it? 1 inch fat reduction

Melting Away The Fat

If you want to get movie star slim, ultrasound is the next hot thing. In Singapore they use this technology to melt fat. This is a specific type of high intensity focus ultrasound that generates heat as it enters the body and doctors said that heat effectively kills fat cells.

Watching her walk down the street, few people will describe Whitney as heavy or overweight, but this sales professional who asked us not to use her last name says she has a problem in several areas.

Week 1: Stomach Shrink 🙂

“I feel like I’m wearing a tire around my body”
Today she’s hoping to lose up to an inch off her waistline without surgery. Instead she is being treated with a newly approved device called liposonix and this technology has been getting a lot of media attention for the last 5 years at least.

**Note: you can read my review about this procedure on the link above. It’s a link to my blog. I personally think liposonix is a waste of money, regardless what people say. You may have read lots of positive reviews too before on the internet, but I think it is still inferior to a proper diet. I also show you a good diet program you can follow.

The dermatologist Christine lee said this uses high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) to melt away fat cells. It literally sounds like fat sizzling. Doctor lee begins by marking number target points on whitney’s stomach since the ultrasound delivers heat she needs to carefully track which section has been treated and for how long.

Your result may vary

The only requirement is you have to have at least 1 inch of fat. Once the procedures mapped out, Dr lee presets pulses of ultrasound to each target in the order of their mark. She says some patients will feel a light stinging sensation. Some parts of the body you feel a little bit more than others.

The system won’t produce the extreme result of techniques like liposuction which require surgery to remove the fat but she says since liposonix can be used to treat wide areas of the body, the overall results are more noticeable than some non invasive options.

Patients have been getting 1 inch on average of fat loss and Whitney’s result has been slightly better. Few weeks after we take her procedure, her measurement shows a lost of nearly 2 inches around her waist. A reduction most visible in the area commonly referred to as the love handles. Dr lee says, the full benefit takes about 8-12 weeks as the body fleshes out the fat cells. The treatment’s results have been astounding. It can cost between SGD 1500-3000, the main side effects is light bruising which can last for about 2 weeks.
